Create unique marketing and promotional tracking URL's for your ticketing page
Introduction
Add tracking URLs to your EventsPass event when you want to track the effectiveness of different marketing efforts on traffic or conversations on your ticketing page. For example, you may wish to track the difference in the impact of a paid Facebook promotional post versus an EDM sent to your email database. You can do this through EventsPass Promotions.
Instructions
To add a unique marketing and promotional tracking URL...
- Load the 'Marketing Channels' view.
- Click 'Add New Marketing Channel'.
- Input the details of your unique URL. Note that you must create one unique URL for every distinct marketing effort you wish to track.
- Click Save.
Under the 'Channel Tracking Code' column, click the link for the new promotion you have just saved.
This will load the promotion detail view.
From this view you can:
- Copy the unique marketing channel links for use in your campaign (note: the first URL takes the user to the event information page and the second URL takes the user to your ticket selection page). These are the links you need to use in your promotional campaign.
- See link 'Usage' (number of times the URL has been opened using this marketing channel)
- See link 'Redemptions' (number of successful checkout completions using this marketing channel)
- See the gross ticket sales and your earnings (net of fees) made using this marketing channel
