Step 1 - Event Details

Step 1 - Event Details

1A – CORE EVENT DETAILS

Start by signing in to your EventsPass account here: https://www.eventspass.com/#/login

Once logged in, you will see the Events dashboard.  In the top center of the page is a blue navigation bar that reads Create a new event, click on it to begin the creation.

After you have clicked on Create a new event you will be brought to the Create New Event page.  At the top left-hand corner of the page the following text should appear.

Once on the page, you will be asked to provide the Event information and Event Location.

Complete all the fields shown:

  1. Event Name: Input your event name. This will appear on your ticketing page and customer tickets.
  2. Event start and end date/time: need to have the cursor held over field line for the pop-up calendar to appear and allow you to select dates and times.  Click ‘Apply’ when finished.
  1. Event category: helps ensure your new event has the appropriate settings. Please select the option which best describes your event type.
  2. Select your event type: is based on either the type of event or its requirements:
    1. Standard event means the event does not have Sessions (e.g. education sessions) attached and will be ticket sales only (e.g. fairs, B2C shows, festivals).
    2. The Standard event ticketing + ticket options + sessions option is for when your event has tickets along with Sessions (e.g. education sessions) or Ticketing options (F&B, merchandise or add-on opportunities).
  1. Tax information: Please complete all fields in accordance with your local tax jurisdiction.

Warning: Please review your entries carefully as your tax setting is applied to all paid ticket sales. This cannot be changed after an event is launched and this setting allows for financial reconciliation at the end of the event.

Once you have completed the Event informationEvent Location’, and the Tax Informationclick Done.

1B – EVENT DETAILS

Click on the Edit button in the right-hand corner of the navigation bar.

Once you have clicked on the ‘Edit button, you will be taken to Set-up event page.

The navigation bar on the top left-hand side of the page walks you through the steps necessary to complete the event details.

Begin by completing all fields in the ‘Event Details’ section of the navigation bar. Some fields may already be completed from your previous step.

Note: Make sure you update the ‘Contact details’ with the information that you want to be visible to ticket buyers.
Note: Be sure you set the correct Time zone for the event location. Google will make a best estimate, but it is important that you confirm it is correct.

Click Save and Next once completed.

TIP: prior to saving any page, double-check that everything was inputted correctly.  This will save you time prior to reviewing the entire event

Once you have clicked on the Save and next button, you will now be taken to the Event design page.

1C – EVENT DESIGN

The Event design page is where you create the look and feel for your ticketing page.

  1. Note: Your event logo image should be 160 x 160 pixels.
  2. Note: The recommended header image size is 1920 x 720 pixels. It is strongly recommended to not include any text or logos on the header image.
  3. Note: Based on the Event logo image size you can either fit it to be either a circle or round style by clicking on the drop bar in the Logo style field.

You can then select the color palette you wish to use on your ticketing page.

Note: you will be able to preview and re-edit this design at a later step.

The default Purchase button setting is for the button to read BUY TICKET. If you would like to edit this label, please enter Custom button name field in this section. In the Purchase button size you can either default to Regular size or change to 2X size.   As a rule of thumb, the default is the best for branding purposes.

Under the Promotional/Discount Codes heading, you can customize the labeling and instructions for your ticketing promotional codes (if applicable). Skip this step if you will not have any promotional codes.

Once you have clicked on the Save and next button, you will now be taken to the More information page.

On this page, edit each box with the additional information you would like to share about your event. This content appears on your ticketing page (see below).
