Which devices can I use LeadGen with? Are there any minimum software or hardware requirements?

iOS: Download the LeadGen App from the iOS app store by searching for ‘EventsPass LeadGen’.

Android: Download from the app store here or by searching for 'EventsPass LeadGen' in your Google Play store.

Is my Phone or Tablet suitable for LeadGen?

Not all phones and tablets are created equal, and as they get older and fill up with our photos and files, they tend to get slower until they puff and wheeze doing the most basic of tasks.  Because of this, and the impact it can have on your attendee leads, we ask that you work with us to give a little thought to how suitable your device is for LeadGen.
 

Device Condition:

Firstly, your device will need to be in good working order; a decent battery life, no cracks or obstructions on the screen, and a functioning rear-facing camera (these a much higher resolution than front-facing cameras, and will scan our codes more quickly and accurately).

Also, you will need to make sure there is some space on your device for the App and your leads.  We would recommend a minimum of 2gb of space.

Finally, close those old apps and browser windows.  Phones have a limited amount of RAM, and the more you have running, the more likely you are to hit your phones RAM limit.  When you do this it’s like Superman just grabbed the back of your getaway car – wheels spin, but your aren’t getting anywhere.  Cameras can freeze, devices can freeze, apps can close down – all bad news, but not to worry - if this happens, your data is backed-up in the cloud (assuming you were connected to the internet), and when you re-launch the app, you can access it again.  Do not delete the app because the data you have is always recoverable.
 

Supported Devices:

We know you love that old phone of yours – all the memories, and it just works how you want it.  However, it might not work with us so, so if you’re not on the list of supported devices, you may need to consider borrowing or renting something more suitable.

 

iOS Supported Device List

Download the LeadGen App from the iOS app store by searching for ‘EventsPass LeadGen’.

As a rule of thumb, we need a 12+ megapixel camera, and 2GB of RAM and you need iOS 10 or later.

If you have one of the following Apple devices and it is in good condition, then it is supported. If it is not available in your iOS app store, then it is unfortunately not supported on your device.

Android Supported Device List

Generally, your device will support LeadGen if it has more than 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 7 or newer (excluding Android R, Go, 11). While there are too many different brands and devices to list for Android, but you can simply go to the Google Play store and search for EventPass LeadGen. If it is listed there, then your device is supported!
