Creating a Bundle Ticket (e.g. a 'Family Pass' bundle that includes multiple tickets when added to cart)

Creating a Bundle Ticket (e.g. a 'Family Pass' bundle that includes multiple tickets when added to cart)

In EventsPass, a Bundle Ticket is a bundle of tickets where the customer only needs to add one item to the cart, to receive the bundle of tickets. A common example of this is a 'Family Ticket' which might include 2 adult and 2 child tickets. In this example, a Bundle Ticket can be configured to include all four tickets, making the checkout process far easier for your customers.

Note: This article refers to 'Bundle Tickets'. This is not to be confused with 'Ticket Group', which is the terminology used to describe the way you can arrange your tickets on the ticket selection page, and the instructions for this are covered here.

To create a Bundle ticket, first log in to your EventsPass account and select your event.

From your dashboard, click the 'Tickets & Registration' tab, then click the 'Manage' tab, then click the 'Manage Tickets' Button.

Click the 'Ticket Types ' tab, then click 'Add New'.

When you create a Bundle Ticket, there are two parts to the process. First, you will create the individual tickets or the 'Bundle Sub Ticket's that sit within the Bundle Ticket, and then you will define the Bundle Ticket itself, which is the 'master' which you will specify which Bundle Sub Tickets are contained within, and any pricing details.

You will see three options when you click 'Add New':
  1. Individual Ticket: Click this to create a standard ticket, that does not belong to a Bundle Ticket.
  2. Bundle Sub-Ticket: Click this to create the individual tickets within a Bundle Ticket.
  3. Bundle TIcket: Click this to create the master Bundle Ticket.
Start by creating each 'Bundle Sub Ticket'. In this example, we will create a Family Pass, which includes two Adult and two Child tickets. To do so, click 'Bundle Sub Ticket' and first fill out all the necessary details for the 'Adult' ticket and then click 'Save'. Then repeat the process for the 'Child' ticket (as a Bundle Sub Ticket). If you are unsure what some of the ticket settings mean, please refer here: Step 4 – Create your tickets.

Note: Pricing details are always specified within the 'Bundle Ticket', and never at the 'Bundle Sub Ticket' level.

Your ticket summary will now show the two new Bundle Sub Tickets.

Now it's time to create the 'Bundle Ticket'. Click 'Add New' and then click 'Bundle Ticket'.

Complete all fields as you would when creating an individual ticket. If you are unsure what some of the ticket settings mean, please refer here: Step 4 – Create your tickets

In this example, our 'Bundle Ticket' is our Family Pass, and we need to price this ticket according to the total cost of all Bundle Sub Tickets tickets that are included in the Bundle Ticket (e.g. if a Family Pass is $50 for 2 Adults and 2 Children, then we price it at $50 in this step).

You must also specify the type and quantity of each Bundle Sub Ticket that is included in the Bundle Ticket. To do so, scroll down to the 'SELECT SUB-TICKETS TO BE ADDED TO BUNDLE TICKET' heading, and input accordingly (e.g. 2x Qty for Adult and 2x Qty for Child).

Ensure all settings are updated, and then click 'Save'.

Your new Bundle Ticket will now be shown in the ticket summary:

You must now click 'Activate' against each Bundle Ticket and Bundle Sub Ticket, to make the ticket available for sale. To do so, simply click the 'Activate' button against each and confirm when prompted.

Do not exit the process at this point, as you still need to apply a ticket design. Click 'Save and Next'.

You will note that prompt that your Bundle Sub Tickets do not yet have a ticket design assigned. At this step, either assign these Bundle Sub Tickets to an existing design or add a new design and assign accordingly, depending on your preference.

Note: Bundle Tickets do not need a design. Only the Bundle Sub Ticket requires a design.

Once updated, your summary will show that the Bundle Sub Tickets have a design assigned.

Click Save and Next and that concludes the process of creating a Bundle Ticket.

If you wish, you may proceed in assigning your Bundle Ticket, to a Ticket Bundle (instructions are available here).
