Differentiating 'Registered' and 'Unregistered' tickets (and how tickets can become 'Registered')

Tickets sold through EventsPass can either be 'Registered' or 'Unregistered'.

Differentiating 'Registered' and 'Unregistered' tickets

'Registered' tickets are those tickets that have customer details saved against them already (at minimum a name, contact number, and email). When a customer completes a ticket purchase for example, they must register at least one of the tickets they have purchased (often with their own details).

'Unregistered' tickets are those tickets that do not have customer details saved against them already. These tickets are still valid for event entry.

Circumstances where an 'Unregistered' ticket can become 'Registered'

Tickets become 'Registered' in the following circumstances:
  1. The ticket purchaser assigns customer details against all tickets before completing ticket checkout
  2. The ticket purchaser shares specific ticket(s) with other individuals (via SMS or Email) during the checkout process, and those recipients access shared tickets and register the details themselves
  3. The ticket purchaser loads the web view of the ticket(s) (accessed by the link in the ticket confirmation email), and taps 'Click now to register' against any tickets which have not been registered (these show up in red, see below for an example)
  4. Anyone with access to an unregistered ticket (e.g. via ticket confirmation email or via a physical printed ticket) can scan the unregistered ticket QR Code with any generic barcode scanner app from their play store, and they will be taken to the ticket web view where they can 'Click now to register'.
  5. A vendor at your event who is using the LeadGen lead capture app scans a visitor with an unregistered ticket. In this scenario, the vendor captures the customer details, and then that customer's ticket becomes registered (for both your records and for any other vendors at your event who scan that visitor's ticket using LeadGen).
